Scratch-n-Sniff

Strawberry_copy_2

This is a card that we made at our demonstrator shoebox swap earlier in the month.  I based the design on a card that was featured in Stampin' Success last year.

The strawberry image is from the Tart and Tangy stamp set in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I stamped it with Real Red Craft ink, poured a mixture of clear embossing powder and sugar-free strawberry Kool-aid over the ink, shook off the excess, and heated it until it melted.  I've seen alot of tutorials on the scratch-n-sniff technique that call for specific amounts of embossing powder and kool-aid or jell-o.....I just mix near equal amounts of both and that seems to work well for me.

The stem is a felt fusion flower that I cut in half and attached with glue dots.  The border was created with the corner rounder punch and crop-a-dile.

Here are some card measurements if you would like to CASE:

Real Red Base:  3" x 5-3/4"

Bashful Blue:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2"

And a couple of views of the inside:
