My Must-Haves from the Retiring Accessories List

I'm always sad to say goodbye to some of my favorites from Stampin' Up!, even though I know that they are just making room for bigger & better things.

There are a few items on the Retiring Accessories list that I honestly don't know how I would live without.  So, without further adieu, I present my 10 Must-Haves!

(You can click on any of the titles to learn more about each product.)

1.  Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

I seriously love this folder!  It is one of my favorites for creating vintage cards.

2.  Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes

Need to make a quick card?  These are pre-scored and ready to go.

3.  Tabletop Paper Cutter

Don't get me wrong......I love the new paper trimmer.  BUT, this one has a blade that never needs to be sharpened or replaced.  This has been a workhorse in my stamping room for years.

4.  Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint

Put a few drops of this paint and some rubbing alcohol in a spritzer bottle and you'll create the perfect shimmer mist.  It is absolutely beautiful!  You can also sponge it directly onto a rubber stamp and stamp with it.

5.  12x12 Paper Holder and 8-1/2x11 Paper Holder

I'm an organizing freak!  These paper holders scratch that itch quite nicely.  I organize all my cardstock and designer series papers in these holders.

6.  1-1/4" Square Punch

Sure, I can cut my paper into 1-1/4" squares, but this makes it so easy.  And it layers perfectly with the 1" square punch!

7.  12" x 12" Divided Page Protectors

I expect that these will sell out fast.  They have been a real favorite with my scrapbooking customers. It would be a good item to stock up on if you do alot of scrapbooking!

8.  Blossom Petals XL Punch

If you like punch art or flowers, you better add this to your order before it's gone.  It's a frequently used punch in those adorable punch art characters.

9.  Two Tags Stampin' UP! Bigz Die

Don't be fooled by this die!  It's not just for tags.  Do a quick Google search and you'll find tons of cute ideas for this die, including boxes, bookmarks, and treat containers.

10.  Fancy Favor Stampin' UP! Bigz XL Die

Need to whip up a cute package for a small gift?  Want to make quick party favors?  Then, you definitely need this die.  It has saved my butt many times over the last few years!

Simply Scrappin' Layouts & Cards

The retirement list will be announced on Wednesday.  I'm about 99.9% sure that the Simply Scrappin' kits will be retired and only available while supplies last.

This past fall, I met with my scrapbook club members for 3 months and we created layouts and cards using the Simply Scrappin' Kits.

2012 07 27

For each kit, I created 6 scrapbook pages (12" x 12") and 2 cards.

There are pdf instructions available for each of the kits shown.  The entire tutorial for all 3 kits includes lots of pictures and is 34 pages long.

Spoke a bit too soon....

So my last post was titled "Hooray for Spring".  It's amazing how quickly
things can change in the midwest.  We've had very heavy rain all week
that has resulted in widespread flooding in my area.  Luckily, our home
and business have not been affected, but many others haven't been as
fortunate. Just like Boston and Texas, please keep Indiana in your prayers.

It's hard to know exactly how to share good news in the midst of all the bad.  On Monday, I received an email from Stampin' Up! that I was selected as a display stamper for convention.  I don't know all the details, but it sounds like I'll get a box of items from the new catalog to create samples for the convention display boards.  I can't wait to see the new products that I'll get to work with!  I'm sure it'll be challenging, but I am really looking forward to it.

In other news, I created 2 projects for the most recent session of UStamp called Big Shot Round UP 2013.  The designers were challenged with covering all of the Big Shot dies that Stampin' UP carries.  If you are looking for ideas, there is still time to join and have access to over 40 Big Shot projects.

This was the project that I created featuring the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit.

My second project featured the Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die.

Again, it's not too late to join UStamp with Dawn & Friends Big Shot Round UP 2013.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Hooray for Spring!

We've been having a few warmer days, lots of thunderstorms, and no sign of snow....I think Spring might finally be here!

I am absolutely in love with the Spring Sampler stamp set.  There are so many cute images and you can use them in lots for different occasions.

Springsampler
I created the card below for a swap at the St. Louis regional last month.  I've got many more cards to share....just need to find the time!

We'll be making this card and 3 others at my upcoming Spring Sampler Stamp-a-Stack.  I am also offering a Class Kit by Mail.  For more information, click here.

It's hard to believe, but the retirement list for the 2012-2013 Catalog will be available next week.  I'm predicting that it will be a long list.  Do you have any guesses on what will retire?
