We did the cards above at the Christmas Card Club this past Sunday.  I loved these cards so much that I decided to offer these cards again as part of a Stamp-a-Stack.  You'll be able to make 15 cards--5 each of 3 different designs.  All supplies except adhesive will be provided.  Beginners are always welcome!  The class is scheduled for Sunday, December 2nd at 2pm and the cost is $30 per person.

Want to attend?  You must RSVP with payment by November 26th to reserve your spot.

There won't be a class kit by mail or tutorial for this class.  Sorry!  However, I have updated my tutorials page with all of my current tutorials and I have a few more to add soon.

I'm busy getting ready to attend the Lansing, Michigan regional seminar this weekend, so I'll probably be MIA on the blog until sometime next week.  I'm really looking forward to a giant dose of creative inspiration from Stampin' Up!

Happy Stampin'

Halloween Inspiration

I don't know about you, but I am so excited about the Sell-a-Stamp Spooktacular on Monday!  I've been a demonstrator for over 10 years and this is the first time I've ever seen Stampin' Up! put every stamp set on sale!   If you want to order, you can email me or order online.....just wait until Monday, okay?

Since I am running out of time before Halloween, I have uploaded more exclusive Halloween Inspiration to my Facebook page.  I hope you'll visit and decide to become one of my newest fans!

Many of my customers have purchased the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit.  These are so much fun for creating treat bags, but you'll definitely have some extra tags leftover.  What to do?  Well, today I'm sharing a card that was made with one of the tags.

Googly

I started by embossing Basic Black card stock with the Spider Web Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.  Next, I used a sponge dauber and the Illuminate ink pad to enhance the web pattern.

Googlycu

The spider was stamped directly onto the tag.  "Boooo" was stamped onto Pumpkin Pie card stock and then die cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits Die.  And of course I had to add lots of those fun googly eyes.  I love them!

Popular Projects

Well, it has taken me a week to "recover" from the Fort Wayne Rubber Stamp & Scrapbook Getaway last weekend.  I've finally gotten everything put away and I'm working my way through answering emails & responding to special requests.

Instead of typing up instructions multiple times and sending out numerous emails, I decided to dedicate this post to some of the popular projects from the show.  There are a few other projects that I want to share, but I'll have to get some tutorials together first.

I wasn't surprised that the "front cover ornament" was a project that got a ton of attention at the show.  It is truly beautiful.  I made one that is identical to the cover, and then 2 more that are a bit simpler to create.

Ornaments
These are a little more involved than my usual projects, so I'm not going to recreate the wheel and make a new tutorial.  If you already subscribe to my email newsletter, you should have received the tutorial in your inbox this weekend.  And if you're not a subscriber, you can view my newsletter here (it's about half-way down).  Don't forget to subscribe so that you can start receiving my newsletters.

I actually watched this video to learn how to create the ornament.  It's a little long, but she describes the process very well.

Dinocu

Another project that was very popular was a punch art card that I received in a swap from convention.  The card was created by fellow demonstrator Wendi Sands and it is so CUTE!  I'm going to try to make my own soon.

Dinocard

Dinocu2

As far as I can tell, these are the supplies used on this card.

STAMP SET:  Dinoraur

INK:  Early Espresso (edges sponged with brown ink), Wild Wasabi

PAPER:  Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Bashful Blue

PUNCHES:  2-1/2" Circle, Small Oval, Large Oval, Extra-Large Oval, 1/2" circle, 3/4" circle, Itty Bitty Shapes (circle), Petite Pennants Builder

BIG SHOT:  Square Lattice Folder, Framed Tulips Folder

If you would like to order any of the products shown here, simply visit my Stampin' Up! website.  You can place your order and have it shipped directly to your door.

Grab your broom!

Brooms
I saw these cute broomsticks and could not wait to make one.....or five!  They are so quick & easy.  We had a lot of fun making these at today's Stop-N-Stamp class.

How about a tutorial?

STEP 1:  Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper to 2-1/2" x 12".  Mark a line across at 1-1/2".

Broomstep1
STEP 2:  Place a piece of sticky strip above the line, from end to end of the DSP.

Broomstickystrip
STEP 3:  Cut random fringe along the top and bottom edge, cutting all the way to the sticky strip.

Broomcuts
STEP 4:  Place a Twizzler or pencil into a 1" x 8" cellophane bag & seal shut.  Peel the sticky strip from the DSP and begin wrapping the DSP around the cellophane bag as shown.

Broomwrap1
Broomwrap2STEP 5:  Flare out the ends of your broom by lightly tapping it onto a flat surface.

BroomfinalSTEP 6:  Wrap a piece of linen thread around the broom and add a tag.  My tag was created with the Bootiful Occasions stamp set---the greeting says "Grab your broom, cast your spell, and shake your booty."  The greeting was punched out with the scallop oval punch, and a piece of tangerine tango cardstock that was punched with the large oval punch was layered behind it.

Broommain

Are you ready to whip up some brooms?  Here is what you'll need:

STAMP SET:  Bootiful Occasions

INK:  Basic Black

PAPER:  Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper, Whisper White & Tangerine Tango card stock

ACCESSORIES:  Linen Thread, Large Oval Punch, 1/16" Circle Handheld Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Sticky Strip, 1" x 8" Cellophane Bags

All items may be ordered on my Stampin' Up! website.

Don't forget!  I'll be at the Fort Wayne, Indiana Rubber Stamp & Scrapbook Getaway this weekend.  If you attend, be sure to find me & introduce yourself.  I've got a few gifts tucked away for my "fans".

Happy Stampin'

No Peeking!

One of my favorite new holiday stamp sets is No Peeking.  I bought it mainly for making tags and 3-d gift items, but I was challenged to use it on a card for a swap.  The tree image perfectly fit the bill.

Nopeeking

The tree was stamped in Gumball Green ink onto Whisper White card stock.  I accented the tree with dots of Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.

Nopeeking2

The greeting was stamped twice.....once in Cherry Cobbler ink and again in Gumball Green ink.  The Cherry Cobbler greeting was punched out with the large oval punch.  The "O" from the Gumball Green greeting was punched out with a 1/2" circle punch, then adhered over the Cherry Cobbler greeting.

Ornament Keepsakes

Today I'm sharing the final card from my recent Christmas Card class.  I have to tell you....I am absolutely loving the stamp sets and matching framelits in the Holiday Mini catalog.  Did you know that you can save 15% by purchasing them as a bundle?  That makes it a great deal!

Ornament1
The "Merry" is from the Snowflake Soiree stamp set, but all of the other elements are from the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set.  Cherry Cobbler and Lucky Limeade are the colors used here, but you could easily substitute any other coordinating colors for this card design.

Ornament2

I taped the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine behind the ornaments and behind the front Whisper White card stock panel.  Each of the ornaments and the Whisper White card front was popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Triple Time Snowflakes

I've seen this Triple Time stamping technique popping up everywhere and I knew I wanted to try it for myself.  It is so easy, but creates such a WOW effect.  I love it when that happens!

Believe3Here are the paper measurements:

Shimmer White Card Stock:  2" x 3-1/4", 3" x 4-1/4", and 4" x 5-1/4"

Midnight Muse Card Stock:  2-1/4" x 3-1/2", 3-1/4" x 4-1/2", and 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"

Start by layering the pieces of Shimmery White card stock, lightly adhering them in place.  Stamp "Believe" in Midnight Muse ink on the middle panel.  Stamp various sizes of snowflakes in Midnight Muse, Pool Party, and Illuminate ink.

Peel the layers apart, then layer onto the coordinating Midnight Muse panels.  I popped up the top 2 layers with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Believe1
I cut 2 snowflakes with the Snow Flurry Bigz Die and the Big Shot from Silver Glimmer paper.  These were topped off with a Jumbo pearl.
