Fun with Bunnies

For those interested in the video tutorial on yesterday's projects, I'm hoping to get it done on Thursday or Friday.  Stay tuned!

Today, I'm featuring some fun swaps that I received at the St. Louis regional.  With Easter just around the corner, I thought you'd enjoy some fun bunny projects.

My Project 40-001

This card is both cute & elegant!  She did such a nice job.

My Project 40-002I love this little treat holder made with the two tags die....and it contained chocolate!

Earstoyou

This was one of my swap cards.  Nothing fancy, but I just adore the Ears to You single stamp!  If you want one, you might want to hurry....it's only available through March 31st!

Earstoyoucu

I used the Stampin' Write markers to color the individual bunnies and greeting.  Colors used were Marina Mist, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Lucky Limeade.....a springtime color combo from the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper.

Did you miss the chance to become a demonstrator during Sale-a-Bration?

Good news!  Stampin' Up announced today that they will be extending the starter kit special through March 31st.  This means you can sign up as a demonstrator for just $99 and select $156.50 in product for your kit.  Contact me for more information.

St. Louis Regional Workshop Wow

This past weekend, I had the privilege of presenting a project to my fellow demonstrators at the St. Louis regional seminar.  I only had a few days to prepare and boy, was I nervous!  Fortunately, I survived and no one threw rotten fruit at me.  :0)

I'll just warn you now.....this post is picture heavy!  If you would like to see a video tutorial on this technique, leave me a comment below and I'll get to work on it if there is enough interest.

To make the rosettes, I cut white felt with the Big Shot and Circle #2 Die.  I tied a knot in the end of the ribbon/fabric and adhered it to the center of a felt circle with hot glue.  Working slowly, twist the ribbon/fabric and roll around the knot, adhering with hot glue as you go.  When finished, trim any of the white felt that might still be showing and adhere the "tail" of the ribbon/fabric to the back of the felt circle with hot glue.  Add embellishments and enjoy!

Stlproject2

This rosette was created with the 1-1/4" Two-Tone Ribbon in Basic Gray/Basic Black from the Spring Catalog.

Stlproject3

Rhinestones were added to the center and scattered along the edges.

Stlprojectcu

This cute rosette can also be clipped into hair or onto your favorite handbag.

Bibnecklace

I am absolutely in love with vintage-looking bib necklaces.

BibcuFor this necklace, I used both of the 1-1/4" ribbons, pearls, antique brads, and designer builder brads.

Headband

You can use the same technique with fabric....just cut your fabric into 1-1/2" wide strips.

Hairclippie

The leaves were created by cutting the Canvas Creations sheet with the fun flowers die.  I sponged Lucky Limeade ink onto the flower, added lines with a Lucky Limeade marker, and cut the flower petals apart to create leaves.

Hairclippieback

Here is a view of the back of the hair clip.

Babyheadband

I created this headband for an infant with 3 of the smaller rosettes.

I was very excited to see that the fabric was going to be on sale this week.  Now you have the perfect excuse to stock up!

You can shop now in my online store.

More Sent with Love

Today, I'm sharing another quick card made with the Sent with Love bundle.  One of the papers from the Sent with Love Designer Series Paper looks like this:

Sent_with_love_3

I went ahead and cut/punched out all the little pieces.  I plan to use them on various projects and it's nice to have them ready to go.  When I saw this week's Mojo Monday sketch, I knew these would be perfect.
