A Special Treat for Demonstrators & Hostesses

I've always like having a cardstock sampler ring to take to workshops and show my customers.  These rings are also very nice for coordinating your colors for cards, scrapbook pages, etc.

I am so excited to share this news with you!  Today I am launching the new & improved STAMP DOC SHOP.  Here you'll find great class kits to go & demonstrator class planners.

Still can't believe I won!

First, a little background.....

I have been a demonstrator for 6-1/2 years and have only missed 1 Leadership and 1 Convention during that time.  I've attended almost every regional seminar within 6 hours of my home, too.

At all those events, I have only won one door prize.  It was at Leadership 3 years ago.  Stampin' Up! would show the stamp set they were giving away, then display names on the big screen of the people who won.  If you won, you were to stand up, hoot & holler until someone brought you the stamp set.  Well, they displayed the (my opinion) most unattractive stamp set from the upcoming catalog on the big screen, then up went my name.  I wasn't too excited about winning an ugly stamp set, but I stood up anyway.  As I did, my brand new digital camera falls onto the floor and busts open.  Now I'm really not happy, but everyone is wanted me to act "excited".  NO, not going to happen.  Sorry to disappoint.

Now at Stampin' Up! events, we are given patterned wrist bracelets and you win when your bracelet appears on screen.  This year, I won something GOOD and I was very happy!

I won a scallop edge punch, Haiku designer series paper, and the Bella Blooms stamp set.  Since you won't be able to see these items until next week, here is your sneak peek at my first project:

The coordinating colors are So Saffron, More Mustard, Tangerine Tango, and Old Olive.  I also used the Eastern Blooms stamp set that we received FREE at check-in.

When Bears Fly

One of my favorite presenters at convention is Brent Steele. Every year he demonstrates a very creative "bird" card and this year was no exception!� Click on the picture for a closer look.

Of course you can't tell from the picture, but there is a tab at the bottom of the card that you push and pull to make the bear flap his wings, or arms.

BIG news from Convention 2008

The biggest announcement at Convention 2008 was that Stampin' UP! has partnered with Sizzix to create an exclusive Big Shot, bag, and dies!  The Big Shot is capable of cutting through an amazing number of materials including chipboard and fabric.

One of the biggest "wow"s I saw with the machine is the shirt below.  This employee decorated her standard issue shirt by ironing fusible web onto her fabric, then cutting the shapes with the Big Shot.

Think of all the possibilities!

The Big Shot and exclusive dies will be available to order on September 2nd.
